Afrobeats frontrunner Davido emerged the biggest winner at the 2022 edition of the Africa Union’s All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). For obvious reasons, the global superstar was unable to attend the award ceremony. However, his fans have taken initiative to amplify his resounding success at the event.

On his part, Davido picked up a whooping 5 golden microphones for the following categories:
—Stand Strong – Best Male Artist in African Inspirational Music

—Champion Sound – Best Duo/group in African Electro

—Who’s True – Tion Wayne feat. Davido- Best Male Act in diaspora

—’Champion Sound’ (feat. Focalistic) – Best African Collaboration

—’High’ – Best artist, duo or group in African pop – Adekunle Gold feat. Davido

Aside from Davido, Nigerian superstars like Burna Boy, Asake and Wizkid also bagged awards in different categories. Burna Boy won the Best Act in Africa while Wizkid bagged the Best Act in West Africa award.
