Afrobeats superstar Joseph Akinfenwa-Donus, known as Joeboy, has signed a dual deal with global music giant Warner Music, allowing him to launch his own entertainment outfit, Young Legend, and become Warner Music’s latest flagship artiste from Africa, marking a significant step in his 5-year career.

Joeboy, after five years at Empawa, is leaving the label after releasing two EPs, two albums, and numerous hit singles and features, which have amassed over 2 billion streams across major DSPs.

Joeboy will serve as CEO of the new Young Legend label, while Deola Jaiyesimi will be the Head of Label. The goal is to produce a new generation of afrobeats superstars globally, following the footsteps of Olamide, Don Jazzy, and Mr.Eazi. Joeboy aims to elevate his own musical status from a continental superstar to a global juggernaut.
