We are getting a biopic from Ace Nigerian Filmmaker, Tunde Kelani titled “Ayinla”.

The film follows the true-life story of Apala musician Ayinla Omowura and the events that led to his death in 1980.
The late singer engaged in a brawl with a member of his band which led to his untimely death.

Ayinla is set in the 70s in Abeokuta, Nigeria, where the late singer resided. He is one of Nigeria’s most profound musicians; his talent was admirable and well-received during his reign (and even till date).

It stars Lateef Adedimeji (as the late singer), Kunle Afolayan, Ade Laoye, Omowunmi Dada, Bimbo Ademoye, and others.

The film is spearheaded by Tk Opomulero productions and Greoh Studios.
“Isoken” Director, Jade Osiberu is to serve as a producer on the project and it is slated to air in 2021 (date not confirmed yet).
