After a very public fallout that first came to light in June 2025, Nigerian singer and songwriter MAJEEED and his record label Dream Empire Music have officially reconciled and they’re already making up for lost time on the charts.

The dispute, which sparked intense debate among fans and industry insiders, centered on contractual disagreements and creative direction. However, in a surprising turn of events, both parties returned to the negotiating table earlier this year. The result is not just a mended professional relationship, but a creative resurgence that has sent shockwaves across the African music scene.

As proof of their renewed synergy, MAJEEED and Dream Empire Music jointly released the single “Blame On Me” shortly after settling their differences. The track has become a viral sensation, amassing over 110,000 TikTok videos and counting—with users across Nigeria, Ghana, the UK, and the US dancing to its soulful yet defiant lyrics.

“Blame On Me wasn’t just a song. It was a statement,” MAJEEED shared via his official social media. “We went through fire, but the music brought us back. Now the world is moving with us.”

Dream Empire Music echoed the sentiment in a press statement: “Conflict tested us. Music healed us. Seeing ‘Blame On Me’ cross 110k TikTok creations proves that our best work as a team is still ahead.”

With the dust settled and momentum at an all-time high, the label has confirmed that MAJEEED’s highly anticipated debut (or sophomore) album is now scheduled for release in the 3rd quarter of 2026. Industry insiders hint that the project will feature a mix of Afrobeats, Afrofusion and R&B, with several high-profile collaborations from Nigeria, east Africa and Latin America already in the works.

Fans can expect the album’s official title, tracklist, and lead promotional single to be unveiled in the coming months.
